Black fridays are too crazy and then the stores only a few of the advertised specials!!! It's really a ploy to get you to their store and buy other items.

This year was my first year to shop Black Friday! I only went to walmart. I left the house at 4:00 and was back in bed at 5:30. It wasn't too bad at all! I plan to go every year now!

I don't shop Black Friday,it is too crazy and I think all that shoving, camping out, etc. takes away from the true meaning of what Christmas is all about.

Never have shopped on Black Friday as I buy through the year. I don't care for push shove crowds of crazy people.

My sister and I went to Toys R Us for the first time this year! CRAZY! The store opened at 12am. We stood in line just to get in until 115am, shopped for about 15 min, and waited another 1 1/2 hours just to pay! It was insane! But I saved $50! : ) Oh the things a mom will do to save some $$!

I was able to take my daughter this year with me. It was fun to get there for both of us due to we both had never done it before. She is a people watcher like me so we grabbed something hot and people watched at the mall and enjoyed each other at 530 in the morning. Then she spent birthday money on a few fab. deals. Might have to do this again next year!

I really like to go out on Black Friday. It it the start of Christmas for me. And I like the fact that, for the most part, everyone is in a great mood even though we are out in the cold and in long lines.

I use to be a Black friday shopper in my younger days and be out with the other crazies too, but now at 67 and having the internet and all the ads in the paper I really do not have to get out there.  The othe insentive is I am retired and can shop early and beat out the crowds.

I've worked in retail for 15 years and I did it because the main reason that times are hard right now and I feel better that the main part of my shopping trip is done and I can start making plans and enjoy the rest on the month making cookies and shopping for the rest of the items that I didn't get yet without feeling stress without any hassles of  last minute shopping.  Loved the spirit of X-mas. ~Barbara Ha rahan

I live for Black Friday.  Have to go prepared and ready or you will be sallowed up with the crowds etc...  I plan to start at midnight next year and stay up until all my Christmas shopping is complete.  Why would you want to miss the deals.  Not to mention the thrills.Laughing

I have learned to do online shopping during the earliest part of the day, then do a follow up for the less important items about 7:00 am after the biggest crush is over.   My daughter and I have made Black Friday a tradition, with a nice breakfast stop and lots of laughs.
