Smiling in the Shower

Category: Health & Beauty
When you take your shower, smile into the spray. The spray acts as a water pick for your teeth and helps cut flossing time down. Plus, it makes you smile even more. It's fun!

What a fun way to start the day!  It will not replace brushing & flossing but still fun to do while in the shower.

I do that as well, have shower spray against my teeth. Though it's probably not recommended if you don't clean your showerhead often, there are lime/mineral deposits inside the showerhead.

I'm a dental hygienist and expert flosser- this has nothing to do with flossing- you need to just floss or you'll get gum disease and GROSS breath

My husband is a dentist.  You should floss 2 a day or you will regret it!!  You are kidding yourself about shower pressure!

Brandi is right about the problem with bacteria accumulating in the shower head. Please don't ingest the water without first disinfecting it.

It's only safe if you regularly clean your shower head. Look at your showerhead, if it doesn't shoot water easily out of all the holes, then it seriously needs a cleaning and you shouldn't have that water in your mouth or even on your body. If it's clogged then you're showering in mold and bacteria! I soak mine every two weeks in a ziploc bag full of white vinegar. It kills the bacteria and gets rid of the grime. I leave it overnight and it works like new the next day.

I would have thought this was great until a month ago.  On the local news cast, they did a story about finding mold on the inside of the shower head.  So, be sure you disinfect it regularly.  They also recommend not to drink from it to be sure not to get ill.

I do that and have never thought of sharing or of anyone else doing it, cool. Also I think it strenghthens the gums so it is good to incorporate into your children or for peaple just starting to dental floss, to toughen up the gums.Surprised

I've always done that and love it.  If you have strong water pressure it feels like you've gotten your teeth half cleaned already.  :)
