I use Wal-mart bags as trash bags. I double bag my stuff (I pay for them to be used at Wal-Mart anyways so why not take advantage of it!) I put them in the car. I use them in the small trash cans too! We also use them at Aldi's so we don't have to buy bags there! Reuse the shopping bags though!

I've been using Shaklee's Laundry Booster/Stain Remover for 2 years and have most of my friends and family members hooked on it too. It's taken stains out of clothes that have even been washed and dried a couple of times! I just keep 2 buckets of water with a couple of scoops of the stain remover (1 bucket for lights and 1 for darks) in the laundry room and toss things in it throughout the week till laundry day and then I just dump the whole bucket - water and all - in the wash. Safe enough for baby items too AND it doesn't fade your clothes!I actually get excited when I have a new stain - I love putting this stuff to the test lol.

I grew up on a farm and we took cattle to the fair; recently after my father passed away, we found my old 4-H box w/all the tools still there.  The best and cheapest stain remover you can use is the old "Fels Naptha" soap. A bar will last you a yr for about a dollar.  Just wet stain and soap up w/the bar--no bleach, no Oxy-Clean, etc.  (Kept the knees clean on the farm animals!)  Even takes deodorant stains out of white t-shirts.  A little more work, maybe, but if you're looking to save money, can't get any cheaper.  Can leave soak for awhile if really tough stain, also.  Works great on socks, too.

After you treat the stain run the lime rinds down your garbage disposal. It will make it smell great, and the acid helps keep it clean.

I just had a chocolate ice cream stain on my daughters pink polo shirt. I tried everything from my bag of tricks. I finally broke down and bought the new liquid tide stain release, it took it out right away. (I had washed it 7 times with different remedies b4 this) I highly recommend it to the Mom, Jennifer with the chocolate stainI love this lime remedy, Thank you for sharing!

Does anyone have a solution for chocolate stains?  It seems that chocolate ice cream stains like wine.  Once my kids get some on their clothes, I cannot find anything that has worked to get the stain out.

Almost the same as what has been passed down in my family for generations. We use lemon juice and then sprinkle salt before we set it in the sun.. Same great results.

You can also use a Lemon instead of a lime!  And for those that can't sun at home but have a car you can place your item on your dashboard and sun it there, same benefits!

Not all of us have limes available, nor a place in the sun to place things.  But it is a good inexpensive tip, I guess. I have sometimes used carpet stain remover, which I have on hand because I have a dog, who occasionally has an accident.  this doesn't always work, but I use a tide pen as well.

I only use this tip on all white garments (especially white baseball pants), but I dissolve dishwasher soap in warm water and soak my stained white garment in it.I also have a solution of half ammonia and half liquid dish soap (i.e. Dawn) and use this for pre-treating stains before washing them. I keep this in a dish soap bottle above the washing machine. It's cheaper than the other stain fighters and I think it works better.

Great tip. I have a couple if your interested. Peroxide takes out blood stains. Just pour on stain let bubble for a few, rinse. Repeat if necessary. To get ink out of anything use the pump style hair spray. Place a paper towel or old rag under stain if on clothing, spray then blot with another towel, repeat as often as needed Wash like usual It works on everything, walls counter tops u name it.

lemon  will do the same thing and  its  good  to  put on  your hair  if  you want  to lighting  it  just  squed  the  lemon and  go out in the  sun  for 10 to 15 mins  and  see  the differnts  ..  but  as  far as  the  white  colors  goes  the  a  lemon  will  bleach  the  stan  out  and make the smell  but  you  could  wash  your  whites and  hang  them  out  on a  clothers  line and  the morning  dew  and  sun  will bleach them out  too...

Another GREAT find!! My teenage son wears those thick white tees all the time and he still seems to have problems finding his mouth, so this will come in handy since those shirts cant be bleached.

This is a great tip...I tried it with lemon juice and it worked as well....I believe it only works on whites because it acts as a bleaching agent using the sun's heat with the combination of lemon or lime juice.
