Simple Stress Relief

Category: Health & Beauty
My tip is a good way to de-stress yourself after a tough day or just finding out bad news, etc. I love to just go for a long walk with or without my iPod. It just clears my head and gives me time to myself to rethink things. Plus it's exercise so you're not only clearing your head and calming down, you're also doing something good and healthy for yourself.

GREAT idea  I walk 2 miles every day as part of my loose weight campaign.  I have lost 20 lbs in the past 6 months.  Some afternoons I'm so tired and/or stressed that I just want to take a nap.  I grab my water bottle and iPod and head for the indoor track at our park.  In 30 minutes I've found 'new life'.  What a good thing to do for yourself .. I know it's made a great difference in my life and I'll keep doing it forever .. even after my weight loss goal has been achieved.

I love just going home and playing with my granddaughter.  She is such a smiley and happy lil girl -- so you cant ask for anything better.  Tongue out

Yes a good walk is the best! I take my dog, so he can enjoy it too.

I agree with Sam, excercise always helps me to unwind and sort things out. I do need music to help. I listen to upbeat, fast music. Thanks

You Rock! That's the best way.  I tore a ligament on a mission trip 6 weeks ago and I still can't run and barely can walk.  I can tell the lack of exercise is affecting me emotionally and physically.  You just got to do it.  It's the best medicine.

I love to get on the computer and stay for hours, no children then get outside for a while

Great Idea!  With three children and my husband working all weekend...life's stress and a bit of bad news seems too often.  When stressed I go in the basement to change the laundry...apparently not much help!  I have never had an urge for walking, but now it looks different to me, especially with the fall air!  I can not wait to go de-stress by myself tomorrow!! Thank you.

I grew up playing classical violin. So when I have had a stressful day... if I am in the car I listen to classical music or if home pick up my violin and start playing. I don't even listen to classical music on a regular basis but it definatley is my stress reliever.

Wonderful idea.  My favorite way to exercise is a brisk walk!!  It does just what you said.  Clears your head.  It is a great way to start the day if you can work it into your schedule.Charlene from OH
