German Chocolate Milkshake!

Category: Home
In a blender, combine: milk, chocolate ice cream, pieces of your favorite chocalate bar, coconut shavings, and pecans. Blend until (mostly) smooth. This milkshake is like drinking German chocolate cake!

My husband is going to love this recipe. He loves German Chocolate cake but with just the 2 of us, I dont bake them often. so this is a great alternative....especially in hot weather.

You just made my night! Isn't it amazing how sometimes we need the help of others to see the opportunities right in front of us? Sure, it's just dessert, but it's a symbol of so much more too. In exchange, I share my latest twist on box chocolate cake. Use strong coffee instead of water. Get a small bag of hazelnuts (my local grocery store which never has anything, actually sells these in the baking aisle for about 2.50), but in oven at 350 until golden brown, you'll start to smell them. Then crush them up in a food processor, chopper, etc. Frost cake with choc. icing and sprinkle generously with hazelnut dust. Taste like gourmet restaurant quality cake!
