Coffee Filter Cake Pan Lining!

Category: Home
Instead of cutting wax or parchment paper to fit a round cake pan, use a round coffee filter. An ordinary coffee filter fits most round cake pans without any trimming required!

In a flower pot when there is a hole in the bottom put a used dryer sheet instead of gravel.  It makes it less heavy helps the drainage and keeps the dirt inside the pot better.

Great idea!  I'll give that a shot next time I bake.  Much easier than butter and flour.

Another great suggestion for coffee filters.  Those things are so versatile.  I would never have thought to use them for so many of the ideas that I've discovered through reading these tips.

I am thinking you could spray the coffe filter with Pam spray to keep it from sticking to the cake.

It would be the same size but I usually use the parchment or wax paper because of its nonstick properties so I'm wondering, like others, if the paper would be difficult to separate from the cake, I'll have to try it...

What a simple but great idea!  I've heard that if you run out of paper towels, coffee filters are way cheaper. we use them all the time at work when we run out of papertowels!

Thanks for the tip. I have been using coffee filters for many things but I never considered using them for cake pans. Yes, they are very cheap go to the dollar store and purchase them for $1.oo.

filters are also great to clean mirrors and windows. use window cleaner and wipe with the filter. unlike paper towels, filter do not leave behind debris or streaks.
