Super Glue Glued Shut?

Category: Home
Before closing the cap on your super glue, spread a little petroleum jelly on the threads. No more risk of glue-ing the cap on!

Will definitely try this. I've thrown out so many tubes of superglue because they are glued shut. And the glue is not really cheap. You'd think someone would invent a cap that handles this.

Exellent idea! Petroleum jelly (or Vaseline) is another one of those products that has so many different uses.

Great idea. When you need it and cannot get it off its frustrating. I must say pliers and some old monkey grease works but destroys the protective tube. That of course is after its been glued shut!

This is so useful to know.  I have thrown away countless tubes of super glue due to the cap being glued shut.  The tubes pretty much are one use only in my house.  I was thankful when they came out with the little individual use tubes so even though I still had to throw them away after each use I wasn't wasting so much glue.  Just wasting money which doesn't please me, either.  This stuff has been around for decades, why did I never have anyone suggest this?
