Funny you should mention burnt popcorn....We came home one night last summer when my oldest son was home from college and he had popped some popcorn in the microwave. Needless to say he let it burn. The bag caught on fire. The microwave was the least of our problems. It would have taken a whole lemon tree to get the odor out of the house. After two or three cans of air fresher and many, many cleanings of the microwave the odor was finally gone. I will not tell you what I told him I would do to him if he popped anymore popcorn:>

Sliced lemons used in your tea is also great to refresh your kitchen sink dain. Just sqeeze whats left of the lemon slice down the drain after your empty the glass. I usually let the lemon slice stay in the drain hole for awhile and let the water run over it. It leaves a clean smelling drain.

Sounds like a great idea. Thinking I might put my used sponges in the mcrowave with this, might clean them and make them smell nice again?!

You know, this is by far the best way to clean. My mom always used to do this.

Diane - Vinegar stinks though. I used hot/boiling vinegar to clean soap scum from my shower doors and it works wonders but leaves that stinky smell for a day or two.  I would think lemons would leave a fresher smell.  Will limes work the same as lemons.
