Remove Lint with Dryer Sheets!

Category: Home
When changing your laundry, use the used dryer sheet from the previous load to clean the lint from the dryer lint mesh. It quickly removes all the lint, and your hands never have to touch the lint.

i already do this and it works great. i used to tear a piece of paper towel to do this and after several times i've used up a few sheets of paper towel and it just felt like such a waste. i love using the used dryer sheets.

I used to do this all the time but then read that using the used dryer sheet to clean the filter clogs it (I guess with wax?) so this increases the chance of fire so I stopped.

I actually tried using the fabric softner today and it really worked. I had read it here awhile back and when I was taking a load of clothes out and went to throw the softner away I remembered what I had read. Was really surprised how well it actually worked. Thanks Katrina for posting.

That has been my practice for many years. Trying to pull the lint off w/your fingers almost always proves messy and difficult. W/the used dryer sheet it literally wipes right off in one pass.

I am new here what is this about lint and wax? I like the idea though about collecting lint with dryer sheet, plus I hope it cuts down on lint particles traveling to my dryer top in the process :)

This works like a charm!   I like your idea of making fire starters with the lint & wax!

I already do this, and it's very convenient!  This combined with this month's earlier tip about collecting the dryer lint in egg cartons and pouring melted wax over them to use as fire starters later is definitely a winning pair!
