Welcome To My World!

Welcome To My World!

Hello Vocalpoint members!  It’s Mary Lynn here…some of you may recognize me already (my postings on Facebook, our message boards etc.), but I wanted to officially introduce myself to you!  I’ve worked on Vocalpoint since 2005 so I’ve been here for a while, but am just coming back from an extended maternity leave.  I’ve attended many research groups and met some of you in person…and have also helped put out the interesting articles and message boards you see from Vocalpoint.  I’ll be jumping right in where Kim left off!

On a personal note, I’m married to a wonderful guy and have a fun and rambunctious 15 month old daughter!  It has been such an amazing experience to watch her grow.  Even though she can’t talk yet, (well, except the words momma, dada and hi!) she has certainly taught me a lot.

·  Live in the moment because time goes by so quickly!  It feels like just yesterday that my baby was born.  I look back at the thousands of pictures we’ve taken and although it’s cliché, it makes me realize how fast time really does fly.  I’ll read an extra book to my daughter instead of worrying about getting another load of laundry done.  Your kids grow up so fast…the laundry can wait. : )

·  Enjoy what you do.  Sometimes it’s hard balancing home, work, family…life!  But, it makes it a lot easier if you enjoy what you do.  I thoroughly enjoy working at Vocalpoint…we have an awesome team and we also get to interact with so many amazing women like you!

·  Appreciate the simple things!  Nothing brightens my day more than my daughter’s sweet smile or giggle…and that certainly doesn’t cost a penny!  Whether it’s a home cooked meal with family and friends, story time at the library or spending the afternoon with an older neighbor…take time to enjoy all the simple pleasures in life.

You’ll be seeing me a lot more on our Vocalpoint Facebook page as well as throughout our newsletter and website.  Don’t be a stranger!  We have so many neat programs coming up and products for you and your friends to try – I can’t wait to see what you think!

If you have any comments or questions…or just want to say hi – feel free to drop me a line at moms@vocalpoint.com!

Hi! I am new to vocal point, and excited to meet new people. My kids are now grown, and I really look back and wonder where time went. But, I am so glad you mentioned living in the moment! We all need to take time and do that. I am an RN that teaches wellness and health. I hope I will be able to share great ideas here!

i also have a 15 month old daughter and agree completely with everything you said.  i feel like there are so many days i don't get anything done, but looking back, i wouldn't trade the time i get to spend with my daughter for anything.  i'm very happy to be a stay at home mom to her, and happy to have a few little outlets like vocalpoint for a little bit of "mom time."  thanks, and welcome back!

So nice to have a cool site at Vocalpoint. i love to coupon and save money, and try new things. Its like my little "job" for my family. (aside from being a mom and wife too!)

Welcome aboard!  We enjoy the  simple things too. I remember helping my parents with the yardwork.  or just sitting with my parents talking about the old days. Now that they are gone I cherish the simple memories even more than the big parties. My husband and I lead a very simple life but have been happy togetehr since the day we met in high school. We are now married 31 years.  Time does fly!

For sure cherish the moments with your child! They grow up so darn fast. My youngest baby is turning 9 this year. I miss the days when you cradled them in your arms <sigh>. At least there are always new joys and discoveries with each year of their life. :D

Welcome! I have a 17 months old son, a 6 year old daughter and a newborn coming in less than 6 weeks. Times goes by so fast! It feels like just yesterday I was following my crawling daughter around the house and now I can't get enough of my son's slobbery kisses. Enjoy every moment with your daughter. Before you know it, she'll be going to kindergarten and losing her baby teeth...

It's nice to meet you!  I have two kids who are attending college. Talk about time flying by....before you know it, your daughter will be grown.  At times, you will wish she were less dependent on you. Enjoy the simple pleasures of her being young, because; in the blink of an eye she will be grown up.I'm so excited to be a part of this wonderful  community. I love trying new products and giving my input. It's nice knowing I can influence the marketing of a product.Looking forward to talking to you and other's.   Smile

You are right.  Time goes too fast (except when you're on a diet!).  My daughter is 10, and nothing makes me smile more than to hear her laugh.  She has the greatest, right from the bell, laugh.

Congratulations! Yes, life is like that, isn't it? And you have to seize the day - live in the moment - and smell the roses - all that good stuff!
