We have a free share site on Shutterfly.com. They have excellent layouts and themes! I'll post them there, then send a message to all the site's members (people we invited when we first launched the site).

I prefer to blog - pictures mean so much more when you have a story with them. And it forces you to be more selective about which pictures you post.

I agree with the story as well as the photo. As I do more genealogy, I like the story of a photo from my family we have lost. A good memory for children.

I am trying to get better about sharing the pictures that I take. I have a great photo editing program & most everyone I know is on Facebook so that is where I share them. I also have a digital frame so my family and friends can see and discuss them when we're together. I add captions to help tell the story.

I use facebook to showcase my pics. It's a great way to show them off and get comments on them too.

Much as you can share them quickly on a site, I feel it is truly only a photo when I have it in my hand.  Then I can get away from the computer for awhile and look at my albums with my four children all at one time.

I usually post some on facebook where the people whoa re in them will see the pictures I took of them and can then copy the pics if they want. Other people I will tell to look on my blog where I will be putting up one picture at a time and telling what happened that time.

I edit out the bad ones, upload to Picasa (through Gmail), label them and share w friends and family. I don't do much through FB w the kids b/c of bad guys out there. One bad apple ruining the bunch and all.

I make copies of our holiday pics for everyone who wishes to have the pics-then I either email, hand deliver or mail them. I love sharing all our photos-all the time. My husband says that is why we have a digital camera and phot printer, so we can share.

I use Shutterfly to email albums to specific people , or on my shared website.  My family members from out-of-state appreciate this site because they can order copies directly.  This has saved my family SO much on all of the copies that I used to make for grandparents, aunts, etc.I also make an annual Christmas scrapbook (the traditional journal/crop and paste kind ;) that I put out each year... it's fun to look back at past holidays.

I do some on facebook too.  But I have been trying to make a photo album on each ocassion or vacations and then print them so I have them to look at while sitting at home.  I will even catch a deal and use a coupon to print some out and surprise some of my friends and family members and mail them a few...Best of all, it is cool to print out pictures of fun times together and then the holiday picture cards and place them in a big frame to hang up...  friends love looking and seeing each other on our wall of Family and Friends when they come over..  guess I just do a variety!!!   Tongue out   Kim, Vocalpoint team

Displaying pictures at home is super important.  It shows how important your family is to you to have a pictures displayed at home!<p>As a professional photographer one huge tip is to use photo editing software (on your home PC or even the machine at the store) and CROP your image tight to get rid of all of the unnecessary distracting background giving you a nice close up of your loved one.  Print a 4x6 first as a test print before enlarging to 5x7 or 8x10.  Buy a nice frame and update the pictures often.  Enlargements are often very inexpensive (Wal-Mart, Costco, Sams Club and Target are great examples of very affordable printing services), showcase your own ability and are a VERY convenient way to update those family photos that are framed at home!

I recently joined Facebook so I post pictures there for family and friends to see. However, I still e-mail them to my sister since she isn't on FB - she refuses!!! LOL

I use Facebook and Shutterfly.  We also have an Apple TV and we are able to play slideshows of pictures on our PC on our television.  So while entertaining and playing music, we usually have our family pictures scrolling!

I scrapbook.  I go to Pat Catan's every month with my mother and we scrap there.  We also have Cricuts and a whole array of tools at home, and we take turns at each other's houses and scrapbook together.
