Secrets to Tasty Leftover Pizza

Category: Home
Heat up leftover pizza in a nonstick skillet on top of the stove, set heat to med-low and heat till warm. This keeps the crust crispy. No soggy micro pizza. I saw this on the cooking channel and it really works.

Thanks for the tip!  I usually get out the toaster oven--can't tolerate microwaved pizza!

Great ..... I gotta tell my daughter about this, she is going to love it ........ her and her husband are always ordering pizza and warming it up in the microwave, but this is going to be an excellent change, thanks.  Love it.

I reheat pizza in the toaster oven - 350° for 10 minute makes it perfect everytime (and I don't have to stand at the stove or dirty a pan!).

I  have also been doing this for awhile now. It really is so much better than soggy. If I am in a hurry, I will sometimes "pre-heat" it in the microwave for 30 seconds-1 minute, then put it in the pan to finish.

My micro went out and we had to go to this method.  Much better than the micro wave.  In fact I am not even thinking about replacing my microwave.  When I need to thaw meats or other frozen items, I take a skillet out, fiil the pan about have full of water and lay a wire rack on the top of the skillet, place frozen item still wrapped set the heat to simmer and the food is thawed much better than in the microwacve.  Yeah a little slower.

My sister-in-law actually taught me to reheat it in the toaster oven on the "toast" setting. One or two cycles and it's toasty as well, and not too crunchy. Works on refrozen pizza, too.

I always use a cast iron skillet in the oven at 350 for about 10 to 15 minutes or until the cheese looks bubbly again. I don't know why but the cast iron seems to make the crust perfectly crunchy, especially for leftover pan pizza.

That's a great idea.  I usually stick it under the broiler and then forget it.  It's all burned and nobody will eat it.
