I don't use dryer sheets so much anymore.  Plus, my ceilings are the 10 or 12 foot ones.  I hit them with a broom and then vacuum the floor.  Once a year we break out the ladder and scrub them.

Wow, I had no idea dryer sheets could be used for all this.  Going to try the pillow idea! Thank you.

I clean my ceiling fan with a vacuum cleaner.   I use the brush attachment.  No more dust falling on the floor.  And its done in no time at all.

I have used my hair dryer on cool to get the worst of it off, then vacuum it up.  If you wet a cloth slightly with Downy or other fabric softener, and polish it up, the dust doesn't settle back near as fast!

I can't reach up high enough to use a dryer sheet...I'm 5'0".  So, I stand on a step stool and use an old-fashioned feather duster.

Best way to clean a ceiling fan?  Use old pillow case!  Spray your cleaner or wood treatment inside the pillow case - open, slide one blade at a time inside the pillow case - with one hand on top and one on bottowm, apply slight pressure and wipe the blade clean form center to end.  All the dust remains inside the pilllow case and you can throw it in the washer for the next time.  Got lots of great ideas in my new cookbook (not published yet).  Hope this one really helps you guys!

We all know lamp shades can be a drag to dust, vacuming them can push the dust into the shades making them appear dark or to have dirty spots, take them to the local gas station and blow them off with the air hose. This keeps the dust out of your house and also cleans them without pushing the dirt into them.

CoolUsed dryer sheets are also excellant for TV & Computer Screens. Cuts the static electricity that attracts dust. Actually good for anything with an electrical display. Also for mirrors.    A different tip: Any toothpaste for tartar control,(paste not gel), for stubborns stains. Wet area, rub in paste, let sit at least 30 minutes. I have removed ink from a silk shirt, no damage to fabric or color.

Better yet, don't use dryer sheets. They leave residue on your clothes. Buy the dryer balls instead and you will save tons of money.

I've been using used dryer sheets to dust with for a long time but GREAT idea on using a paintbrush!  We have three ceiling fans with lots of fine detail that are also very high that I can't get to like I need to.  I am going to try using my pantbrush attachment (supposed to get high places with paint) to dust with this weekend!
