Pulp it Up

Pulp it Up

When you are using a juicer such as a power juicer and it juices your whole fruit or vegetables such as carrots. You will have alot of pulp to clean out. Use some of the pulp to make breads, cakes or cupcakes. i tried it and it adds the extra fiber to your deserts.

I like the idea of extra fiber.  If you garden and weren't planning to bake any goods, this could also be used for composting.  I certainly like the idea of minimizing waste.  Thanks!

This is true.  The extra pulp is great for adding to jello as well.  My kids have always enjoyed fruit in the jello.

You can also put the leftover pulp (fruit or veggie seperated) into freezer bags, freeze for later use in soups, gravies, jello, can also mix with yogurt in a cup, put stick in the middle for freezer pops or spoon from the cup, or to make a fruit sauce for ice cream topping.

I had a juicer. It was a great way to get your daily source of natural vitamins. I always used the pulp, for baking, "Breakfast Muffins," Just add rasins, heat up anytime & add a little butter. Sometimes my son would have 2. You could also add bran cereal to your recipe, for some additional fiber! I would even, at times alter, my basic banana bread recipe, & include the plup. The next day slice it ( out of the fridge), toast it add butter &/or cream cheese!Karen
