Get Sparkling Clean Shower Doors

Category: Home
Cleaning Shower doors? Get extra fine steel wool and wipe down. The steel wool will not scratch the glass and will give it an extra shine. Use EXTRA FINE steel wool on all glass, mirrors and stainless steel. Does a wonderful job of cleaning and you don't even have to use any cleaning liquids or sprays.

I move the bedroom furniture and set up a tent. Since it is hard for the kids to get to sleep on Christmas Eve, let them all camp out together. They always stay up late "camping" but then they sleep in the next morning because they are exhusted. Then on Christmas they are rested and not cranky.

Sandra,I'll try your tip, thanks!  Also, I wanted to pass along my "miracle" cleaner which cleared the cloudiness from a shower door which had not responded to Soft Scrub, bleach, ammonia...even my mom, a cleaning fanatic, couldn't get the cloudiness gone.  A mist of WD40, which I then rubbed on with a paper towel, worked like a charm!  I rubbed in the WD40 with a paper towel, then cleaned the WD40 off with an all-purpose cleaner.  Warning--WD40 can make your shower/tub floor extremely slippery, so take care to make sure any WD40 that may have dripped downward is thoroughly cleaned off the floor.

I USE A DRY CLOTH ON A DRY SHOWER STALL & PUT LIQUID GOLD ON THE CLOTH..IT CUTS THROUGH EVEN THEHARDEST OF SOAP SCUM & WHEN I FINISH USING THE CLOTH IN DRY SHOWER, I RINSE OFF THE WHOLE SHOWER INCLUDING DOOR  & IT HELP THE WATER BEAD UP & NOT LET SOAP SCUM BUILD BACK UP..THIS WORKS GREAT BUT YOU HAVE  TO CLEAN THE SHOWER WHILE IT IS BONE DRY IN ORDER FOR THIS TO WORK.

Neither my husband or I had really memorable traditions from Christmas when we were growing up so we really wanted to have a speacial traditions for us and our children. So every Christmas we get each child an ornament and Christmas PJ's. We wrap them in gift bags and the kids get to open them on Christmas eve. They each put there ornament on the tree and wear there pjs to bed. We also buy a family ornament each year.  All the ornaments will go on our tree until the kids grow up and get married at which point as a wedding gift they will get there ornaments, so can have them for there own tree as they start familes of there own.

When our son was young we moved out of state so we would visit family right before Christmas and arrive home on Christmas eve.  We started the tradition of picking up Christmas Eve pizza.  Our son is now married and their family continues this tradition.Another new tradition we have started is having our grandchildren recite Bible verses at Thanksgiving.  They receive $1 for each verse and use this money to buy Christmas gifts for each other.

Every Christmas Eve, my children looked forward to making a Monkey Ball Cake together.  The next morning, we nibbled on it while we opened our gifts.  My children are all older now and still expect the Monkey Ball Cake on Christmas morning!  They are now making their own Monkey Ball Cakes with their children on Christmas Eve!Bonnie

We take our kids to see Santa every year, at the same place, with the same Santa.  We get 1 3x5 picture and frame it to use as a holiday decoration.  I have a great holiday decoration series that shows how my kids have grown over the years.  And, this year, Santa remembered us!

Every Christmas we each choose an ornament to add to the Christmas tree that symbolizes something that matters to us.  One year my husband added a John Wayne ornament that represented the westerns he and his grandfather would watch together as he was growing up.  It is a great way for us to tell stories and share our family history in a fun way.  The kids really love it.

For Christmas we always go to my parents and my Dad (who is a minister) has always read Luke 2 - The Christmas Story.  It is a tradition that I enjoy.  He then prays and we open up presents.  It helps us reflect on the true meaning of Christmas.

We have Christmas Eve dinner because my husband is Scandinavan and then try to have a turkey for me on the Sunday after Christmas. We travel a lot and I began buying Christmas ornaments from around the world for my kids. Now, I buy for the grandkids. In Germany in April, I bought Nutcracker Ornaments and in Amsterdam, little wooden shoe ornaments for the grandkids.Merry Christmas to All.

On Christmas eve we go to church services and then come home to pick up our gifts we wrapped to take to the mentally challenged children's home in a town across the river from us tp pass out and cookies to share with them also. Then on home to exchange one gift ourselves before bed. The next morning, the children and grandchildren are here pretty early and we have a nice breakfast and they then play games and such till dinner. We then sing Happy Birthday to Jesus with his cake lit and have our dinner.  Afterwards our gifts are exchanged with all kind of excitement going on. This is pretty much how we have always had a Christmas so it has been a tradition for quite a while and is really great.

My mother n law has bought my family Christmas ornaments for about 18 yrs now. She buys each member of the family their own ornament. The ornaments are picked special for each one of us. They represent something that would remind us of things we had done that year (playing sports, hunting, new baby, music and etc). Our whole tree is now decorated with ornaments from her. What memories we can reflect on! I look forward to passing that tradition on to my children. Knowing Jesus and family........what more can you want a Christmas! Ok....... maybe presents are also enjoyable. lolSmileChristina

The holiday tradition with my family used to be was putting out my grandmother's bells around the door. She died when I was just a little tyke of 4 from leukemia, so I do not remember her. The bells have been lost but thank heaven's my mom still remember's her mother.  I am so grateful for this. She is forgetting most of her kids name's.  It's confusing since there is 5 of us, and Alzheimers is so debiltating.

My family on my dad's side gets together for Christmas breakfast and exchange gifts or either we get together before Christmas and have snacks and play games.  Then on my mom's side of the family we have a big Christmas dinner, exchange gifts and play bingo with household products as the prizes.  We enjoy both gatherings because family is so important and we like to cherish every moment because you never know if it will be our last.

When my first child was born, I started buying a Christmas ornament every year for him.  As his brothers came along, I continued to do this for each of them.  I try to make the ornaments have something to do with something that happens to them that year, shich is not always easy, but, every year, when they hang them on the tree, there are always stories to be told!  I started this tradition so that when they move out, they will have enough ornaments to start their own trees, along with many happy memories.  Well, this year, we welcomed my first granddaughter into the family, and I am proud to say that my son and his wife are continuing the tradition.  They just bought her first ornament for her.

Now  that my parents are no longer with us. my oldest sister has Christmas. We celebrate it on the Eve like we used to when we were kids.  We all sit down to a big dinner, then my sister who has a good voice for storytelling....reads a special story...not just for kids but brings the true spirit for adults as well.  Then it is time to open up the presents.....we start with the youngest first....they oepen just one gift and show everyone....then the next youngest opens one....and so forth...until all presents are open.  We then drink some eggnog and reminisce about when we were kids.  We have Chrstimas music in the background and sing a carol or two.  It is a very special family time remembering the  true christmas spirit...

Like a lot of families. we have the tradition of new pajamas on Christmas eve.  We put our pajamas on, make a thermos of hot chocolate and drive around looking at the Christmas lights.  Even though they are teenagers, my children still can't stop giggling as soon as my husband and I go to the car in our robes and slippers.  When my daughter was three I added to the tradition by also getting her some nice, relaxing bath products to help her calm down so she could sleep!

My son and daughter and her family enjoy going to cut down a Christmas Tree the first Sunday after Thanksgiving. We drop my daughters tree off at her house then we all go to my house with my tree. While my son and son in law get my tree in the stand and put the lights on it, my daughter and I make peanut butter kiss cookies. This year was especially fun because my twin 3 year old grandsons were excited to decorate my tree, and it was the first year my son's girlfriend joined us. I always make a nice dinner, this year lasana.
