I do keep all my cleaning products up and out of reach of my kids, never know what they will get in to.   So PLEASE EVERYONE---PUT ALL CLEANING PRODUCTS, OR ANYTHING THAT COULD HARM YOUR KIDS--UP AND OUT OF REACH !!!!!!!!!

This actually works real well.  You can use the PB on just about anything to get gum out too.  If you have use it for clothing, squirt a dab of Dawn dishwashing liquid on it before washing it.  It takes the grease right out of the way! LOL  NOTE....ice works too but hurts the skin.  Son thought it would be cool to make a necklace out his gum once.

I have been using the water and vinegar solution around my house faithfullly for a year now. I add a half of teaspoon of dish soap to mine and I clean: floors, refrigerator, counters, stove after cooking, mirrors, windows, vehicle windows, walls and I alsospray most of my fruits and vegies with it. The homemade laundry soap is also wonderful! Lets not forget how cheap this homemade cleaners are, I can make 5 gal of concentrated laundry soap for about $1.50.

i have young children, if i left cleaners out even if "safe" then i would be calling poison control. this advise is horrible and dangerous!!

I do the same thing only i use half peroixide and water thats what the hospitals and doctors offices use here in Indiana cleans anddisinfects and doesn't leave a mediciny smell

I am with y'all and using baking soda and/or vinegar! I scrub what needs scrubbing with a baking soda/water mix and rinse with vinegar - bubbles up nicely and leaves the drains smelling fresh. Vinegar/water solution is used for glass or other stuff. C'mon people! How about some GREEN ideas! I am with Nikki, and Ginger - I could not have said it better myself!!! THANK YOU!!

Forget the cleaners.  Just mix water and vinegar in a spray bottle.  It will clean almost anything.  For stovetops, showers, tubs etc.  use baking soda and water.   Not only is it safe around children, but it's very cheap too!

Something great for cleaning around the home and cleaning up at the bank is Melaleuca.  The products are made from naturally durrived ingredients, are usually less money and you can earn checks in the mail for being a preferred member.  I have beena member for over a year now and receive enough money each month to cover everything that I buy from them!  dodowitz@yahoo.com

Borax is also great for cleaning--especially in the bathroom.  Great for  people with asthma and allergies--no harmful chemicals.  I use borax and baking soda extensively, as I am a severe asthmatic.

As a Grandmother, I am informing you that NO CLEANERS, even diluted w/ water, should EVER be left on the countertop; toodlers and older children are very tempted to smell or even taste the fluid... especially if the smell is pleasant. Be aware that hand santizers are extremely dangerous due to their alcohol content.  Children will get alcohol poisoning if they ingest same OR decide to "lick it off" of their hands; parental supervision and common sense is a necessity. Thank you!

One of the most efficient ways to clean, and very cost-effective   is to use Baking Soda to scrub with.  It works on everything from tubs & sinks, clothes, basement & kitchen floors, and cement driveways.  A big box of Baking Soda is around $2.00 & with water it will go a loooong way!!!

Another way to save on cleaners: Get a spray bottle, fill it 1/2 and 1/2 with water and regular white vinegar.  Use baking soda for extra scrubbing power.  Cleans just as well, plus it's more environmentally friendly, safer for use around kids, and great for people with allergies and asthma!
