You r so right, girlfriend. If u r sad, glad, happy, not feeling right a good bunch of great songs will definatily put u back to your old self. I've always done that since i was little; and forget dancing- that is the best happy mood giver.I would love to be on American Idol, or dancing eith the stars. you get energized, excited and boy do u loose alot of weight. Best two happy things ever created; oh and by the way, the more u do the more u want. P.S.i myself have an american idol microphone.I try to hit the notes exactly as i sing along with great singers from A.M.KissLaughing

faster drying in the dryer.... do not use liquid softener when you wash your clothes.  it holds the water in the fabrics thus taking longer to dry.  you can use a dryer sheet in the dryer ......   it does work.

When I'm doing some housework it's great to sing along to a good classic rock radio station.  When I'm cooking though, I switch to the real classics (Vivaldi's Four Seasons is a favorite).  It's a great calming and creative effect.

I love to dance and I usually have music on when I'm cooking and always when I'm cleaning...even if it's minimal.  We have this silly rule in our house.....whenever the Cha Cha Slide comes on, on my IPOD, all the kids have to stop and do the dance.  They all thought it was silly at first but now all 6 kids ranging from 17 to 4 will come running when they hear the song and dance away!!  It is a blast!!Tongue out

I love, love, love my 70's music!  It is wonderful cranking up the volume and doing the boogie!  lol......seriously, I know dancing is so good for all of us and listening to our favorite songs makes us feel great too.  Singing as loud as you can (I do this ONLY when alone, lol) strenghtens your lungs, helps you breathe better, relieves so much stress and is SO fun!  What a great topic!

...Yes MUSIC is the cure all for the seasonal changes...time changes...and if you listen to your favorite tunes it is like smelling fresh baked pie...it cures cravings for wanting to snack because you will be so busy dancing and recalling fond memories that it will get you in the mood to sing and make your christmas card list!

I agree 100%.  I just got finished dancing.  I use it as a form of exercise, instead of the same ol' boring routines.

Music and cleaning has always gone hand and hand, you turn on the music and start dusting and before you know it youve cleaned your house and got a workout.  Now you feel so good you can go out or make a great meal for your family and or friends.

To try and get back in shape I told myself that I will at least dance to three songs a day...well it always so much fun that I have been doing at least two or three more.  What a fun way to get in shape!  And like the other ladies said, you can get your house clean at the same time!

Too busy to hit the gym, no worry! A simple chat on the phone can be a perfect time to shake-it-about; like the proverb says the more you work it, the better you'll look. Even a little passive activity can be another step towards a healthier you.

I dance with my horses in the round pen - it is so fun to have them giving me their undivided attention and moving based on my body movements - it truly looks and feels like we are dancing!

When my son gets diaper rash, I put half a cup or so, of oatmeal in my food processor, grind it until it is a powder, then I add it to his bath water!  His redness and rash are drastically improved after his soak and best of all it is a food product, so it won't harm him.

Oh yeah! I just pop on my ipod and take a much needed mental vacation. :-) I get my groove on often. It is such a release to dance around and move however you feel. My kids think I'm nuts and laugh at me until I catch them doing the same thing. cheap therapy, I tell ya!

That is one of my favorites memories of my mom when I was growing up.  I remember she always had music on and sang and danced through the house while doing whatever needing doing.  I have tried to maintain that same attitude.  It definitely helps get the work done faster and keep you in a better mood.  My kids now enjoy that too!  Cool

My small grandchildren just love it when grandma dances with them.  Although I do not have all the moves they do, we all have fun and they use up some of that energy they have!!!
