You can take any salad dressing and mix it equal parts with mayonnaise to make delicious dips and sauces.  Currently, I am mixing Vidalia Onion dressing with mayo and using it as a dip for potato chips or a marinade for roasting bone-in chicken breasts.  Experiment and use sour cream sometimes, fresh herbs optional.  I also love mixing BBQ sauce with Ranch for a chip dip or served with fresh cut vegetables and baby carrots.Bon Appetit!

For a different mayo...take about a half cup of Kraft mayo and mix in about a table spoon or to taste of Mrs. Dash Spicy herbs for a great spicy mayo. Really great on top of burgers.Enjoy! Wink

Mix chipotle adobo or chilies with Miracle Whip low-fat dressing.  Add slowly to get desired heat.  Good on almost everything: burgers, fish, dip, sandwiches, etc.  The sweetness of the dressing complements the heat of the chili.Tongue out

I have read article after article from top chefs on how to make the perfect hamburger.  MUCH to my surprise, most have a common thought that once your patties are formed, salt the outside.  Salt them until you think they are too satly and salt them a bit more.  This past July 4th, I finally gave it a try, without telling anyone.  I made my usual burgers of onion flakes and worcestershire sauce and salted the formed patties as directed.  I was worried with family and friends counting on me to deliver.  SURE ENOUGH, everyone RAVED about how fabulous, juicy and great the burgers were.  Asking over and over what I did, not believing I use such a simple method.  I'm not sure if the flame burns off the salt, I'm not a physican.  I am simply saying the burgers were to die for, just as the chefs had said.

I slice up one Vidalia onion and cook the slices in butter in a small frying pain over medium heat.  When they are carmelized I put them on theburgers when they are almost ready to take off the grill.  I top the carmelized onions with crumbled blue cheese.  I transfer the burgers to the buns that are smeared with mayo, ketchup, or A1 sauce or all of the above.  They are delicious!!.

My family loves grilled pineapple on their burgers served on a crusty roll instead of a plain hamburger bun.

I like to slice one vidalia onion and one green bell pepper. Place in microw oven safe dish, drizzle with olive oil and cook on high for about 4 min( depending on oven) then put on burger, veggies are cooked with just a little crisp outside and soft in the middle. Delicious! Make sure to toast the buns

A favorite when I grew up was when dad grilled out burgers, he would grate up a raw potato into the hamburger and mix it all up before making the patties.  It added a little bit of a crispy texture where the potato was grilled.  When I first shared this with my husband when he grilled out he was a little sceptical but after he tried it, he continued the tradition on the grill.

This is along the lines of what we do, but I have only used blue cheese dressing.. like the idea of straight blue cheese. The other thing I add is sliced avacado... YUM! And if I have alfalfa sprouts they go along nicely also. The other thing is that I generally use turkey burger instead of beef, lots of worcestershire sauce, and breadcrumbs(Which keps them from shrinking too much). My kids prefer my burgers over any others that they've had elsewhere. :)
Glad to see another carmelized onion/Bleu Cheese fan! :)

I use this recipe on burgers and on regular sandwiches. 2 parts mayo, 1 part yellow mustard and a splash or two of hot sauce (tabasco chipotle is great). We also spread flavored goat cheese on toasted sourdough and add fresh tomato slices. You don't even need mayo!
