Fourth of July is more than picnics and BBO, it is time to reflect and give thanks to be so blessed for freedoms that we as Americans get to enjoy each day, realizing these pleasures we live so obliviously have come and continue to come at a very high price.  The price has been the sacrifice of both the men, women and their loved ones whom stand between us and those who would take these freedoms from us if they could.  They also preserve these freedoms despite legislators right here on our precious American soil who believe we can "love" our enemies into putting away their bombs and coming out from behind their masks of hatred to become our "friends." Yet our soldiers stand tall and unwaver in their committment to the task before them and the oath they have pledged to do all they can, even unto death, to keep our people safe and our Country free.  That is what Independance Day means to me and I pray I am able to instill these sacred principles into the hearts and minds of my children to respect it appropriately the same way.  God bless America and our Troops.Dmd

Our people have faught and died for our Freedom, on this soil and abroad. We must continue to keep America what it is........ the Greatest Nation in the World. We should try to be informed on what is going on in Congress /our local law makers. To start: Keep the National language" English" ... as it has always been.                                               Celebrate the 4th of July ...BIG !

I have been to many places, and lived in several states over my 68 yrs. and I can say, with all humility; the U.S.A. is the best place to be.  There isn't another place like it in the world, or people like the American people either.  I feel as if I belong to the best, friendliest, caringest, helpful people it has ever been my pleasure to meet and break bread with.  S0, whatever is going on, where ever in the magnificent country of our's, we will perseveir (sp) and come out of it as even better people than we were before. And, thank all that is holy for the American People!!!By Arden from Delaware (The First State of the Union)

I praise God that I was born and raised in this great country.  How blessed we are to have the freedoms we have to vote the way we want, to walk down a street without worrying if a bomb is going to go off in front of us, to see our children broken and destroyed because of constant war and devastation.   My oldest son is in Iraq, will be home in 3 mo.  I can't wait for him to be back on American soil again.   I know things are tough right now but if we hold, have faith, we can turn it around. It's happened before!!!

I love the USA! I traveled to another country, and I just can't describe the feeling I had when touching down on American soil once again....America is so awesome! I hope we will always have the freedom we have always enjoyed. The government is trying to take over "too much" lately, and I think that we, the American people, need to stop being so complacent and stand up for our rights... before they are totally gone! God bless America!

Its the day that rubs salt in the wounds of the Indigenous people of this country. Just another reminder of the blood spilt to trying to  save our homes.American seem to rejoice in parading their misdeeds on these so called Holidays. If you knew the truth of how your country was founded you would not feel so proud.

Sandy, use forgiveness and thank God for living in the best country in the world, by the way, what other country have given their indigenous free land and opportunities to live independently?  There are countries fighting each other races and territories.  Wake up and smell the coffee.....

I was not born in the United States.   I came to this wonderful country 40 years ago.  I thank our Lord everyday because my parents had the courage to leave a non-democratic country and bring me here.  I did not know how much I love this country until 9/11.   The 4th of July is a very significant Holiday for me and other immigrants like me, US citizens by choice and not by chance.  God Bless America!

After listeing to my nephew a soldier serving in Iraq talk about how blessed we are to live in a country where we have freedom this 4th of July means so much more to me.  We have a roof over our heads, food to eat and freedom to go out of our homes every day without fear.  I miss him terribly but know he is serving our country because that is what he wants to do.  I am truly proud of him and thank God every day for men and women just like him.
