Some of the gadgets are from the old days. My 8 year old loves to hear me explain and we use them together. It's fun. Karen

I don't think I have an excessice amount of gadgets. The ones I have I use regularly so I don't think it's excessive. I only get a gadget if its something I'm going to use because I don't have that much space. I do have too many small appliances that don't get used as often as I'd like but they are necessary for when you need them. For instance, I use my bread maker but not every day. The blender can't be replaced, and my food processor is my favorite. The crock pot and toaster oven are both big energy savers especially in the warmer months so we don't need to use the oven and heat the entire kitchen. The only other gadget other then utensils and a hand grater which I use several times a week is a stick blender that is very very convenient. If I had a larger kitchen I could very well see myself becoming a gadgetaholic though.

I have four gadget drawers, but one is for the dog. I have antique gadgets I collect on top of the ones I use. Ice cream scoops are fun to collect.

I have aquired a lot of gadgets, but if I buy them I usually buy them at Pampered Chef shows. If I need something right away I usually just go to Target.

I love to bake. My husband is the cook in teh family and he loves his gadgets. I LOVE to bake so I have a whole set of tools, pans, tools and more that are only used for baking. If they ever got used for anything eslse I would replace them. My husband thinks I am nuts. I also use 3 cutting boards in my house, 1 for meat, 1 for produce and 1 only for pies and doughs.

I can't think of a gadget that is not in my kitchen. My husband is the primary cook, anything from great southern meals to gourmet, desserts to die for. I do some specialties but he is there to observe and make sure he lets me know should I do it different from the "way I would do it". I love to shop the kitchen shops in Pigeon Forge Tenn. By cshell

I have quite a few gadgets. Some are old school and still get the job done. These have been either past down from older relatives or picked up at second hand stores. Some are modern and work well also. I really like the Pamper Chief products, like the garlic press. And I don't know how I lived so long without a rasp. But I don't purchase any that I don't think I'll use and I am very protective of my favorites like my boiled egg slicer that is probable well over 40 years old and still getting the job done. And nothing beats an old fashion chopper for your cooked greens. But when it comes to slaw I prefer the food processor anytime.
