for me sleeping between 7-8 hours is sufficient enough to make it a great day. less than that i might not be so energized toward the end of the day. more than that i will feel sluggish all day like today! had the day off today so i slept til 11am (slept at 11pm last night). yes, 12 hours. you can imagine how crappy i felt all day today.

I work from 2-11 or 3-midnight so by the time I get home, unwind and get into bed it is usually 2am. The phone or doorbell or traffic starts around 8 so most nights I only get 5 1/2 or 6 hours. Always yawning around 9pm.

I dont normally go to sleep till 2AM and like to sleep till 10.  When school is going on I get up @ 7 and get my daughter ready. My husband is the best (and someone who doesnt sleep) so he takes her most of the time and I get to go back to sleep till 10.  I sleep better early in the morning.  The deepest sleep I get is between 830- 10.

I love to sleep.I try to get 8 hours a night. I don't like waking up early in the morning. If i dont get my sleep i tend to be real grumpy and lazy.Sleep has always been my Oasis. If i've a bad day getting to bed early after a nice warm shower or bath makes the next day much better.Cool

depending on the shift I work. If I work in the am I get about 8 hours of sleep. Working a midnights shift I'll get about 5-6 hours of sleep during the day. I have a hard time sleeping during the day, not matter how tired I am.

About 7-8 hours.  My 8 mth old sleeps through the next and when he happens to wake up, he goes back to sleep snuggled next to me.

I found out that if you keep you're room dark, and no light coming in that help,s some. as for me i can not take sleeping pill's. they make me feel sick.  also if you don't drink any caffine at night before 7.00pm you can get more sleep, and try not to eat to late that help's to.

I get about 6-7 hours of sleep on the 12 hour days I work. I do make up on my some of my off days and sleep 9-10hrs.  Occasionally, after an exhausting shift, I"ll fall asleep in my recliner for a couple of hours.  Unfortunately, I'm up a couple hours before I get sleepy again.

I have insomina and i take sleeping medication every night. I rotate my sleeping med weekly so that they will continue to work, but I still don't sleep well due to dreaming constantly and trips to the bathroom! I generly get anywhere from 2 to 6 hours sleep and i go to bed by 9pm just hoping that i will wake up refreshed

I suffer from bouts of insomnia....and it affects me in different ways.  Sometimes, like right now, I just can't get to sleep....other times, I can get to sleep ok but don't stay asleep.  For the past 2 weeks, I've been having trouble getting to sleep and only getting 2-3 hours a night.  Another problem of mine is that, being a natural night owl, I have this job that requires me to go to bed by 8pm at the latest....my alarm goes off at 2:30am.  I've had this job for almost 3 years and still have trouble getting to sleep that early even on my best nights.  I know....time to change jobs.  It's coming, I just hope it at least cuts back on my bouts of insomnia.

I used to get less than 6 hours a nite.  I worked a swing shift along with my husband.  Even though I was part-time I was responsbile for a hot dinner before I left and clean clothes, baths, homework, etc.  Always the last to sleep.I felt terrrible and drank a lot of coffee to keep me going.  Gained a lot of weight as a result of my lifestyle. Now I get 8-9 hours a nite.  My memory even works better.  Taking long walks has put me in better shape but I still have weight to lose.

I have 3 jobs. One full time and 2 part time jobs.  My hours of sleep varies from week to week.  One of my part time jobs is usually 24 to 30 hours a week and the other part time job is working with a newspaper company and that is usually 10 hours on sunday and 7 hours on tuesday and about 4 on wednesdays.  But on my day off i really make up for the sleep lost.

I am disabled and take alot of medication for my back, had 3 back surgeries and have nerve damage in my legs due to that now,  but my husband bought us a wonderful bed, we spent around $3,000 for it made by Sealy, it is the most wonderful bed you could ever sleep in!!! Anyways, I get about 10 to 13 hours of sleep aday. I always feel guilty but my husband tells me it's okay and I really can't help it because all of my meds make me tired.

Currently with my schedule I find myself getting up anywhere from 4:45am to 8am depending on the time I need to be there. So, during the week, I'm usually lights out between 9pm & 10pm. On the weekends it's completely different!! bedtime anywhere from Midnight to 2am & then sleep as long as I can which usually is 10am. No matter what the situation.....I have to have at least 8hrs to 9.5 to feel energized for the next day!!Laughing On vacation..I turn my clock around & don't concern myself with time!!

I usually stay up to see who is on Dave Letterman . If I don't find the guest interesting I sak out as I get up every day at  4:00 am. Get to work at 5:00, get done at 1:30, make a few stops on the way home to take care of odd jobs for senior friends.  Most days I get home by 5:00 pm.  Make dinner for my "Honey" who is retired.  Tidy up, catch a bit of T.V. and wind down in time to catch Dave before I turn in.Hey, JEAN consult a chiropractor about your neck. My arthritis in my neck turned out to be that my neck had lost the natural curve.    Cant hurt might help...             Nora
