For Kaye with the puppy peeing problem: many people keep their puppies in a cage to prevent urinating on the carpet. With your dog's history, you might not want to do that. But they say dogs like having their special spot where they feel safe. You might consider keeping him in a cage only when you're not home.

Alcohol & a cotton swab will also remove paint from clothing.  It takes a little elbow grease, but it works. Thanks for the tip for carpet stains - I will try this.

OK!  I'm gonna go try it right now on my little poodle's pee, pee spots.  She has little accidents all the time.  She is retired from a puppy farm and I think they must have kept her in a pen all her life until I rescued her...cause when she's got to go, she goes.  No matter what I do and she knows she's not suppose to do it.  She does it and then goes and hides.  Does anyone have any cure for this?  Comments welcomed!  My carpet would really appreciate it.  So would I!  Thanks, yall!

Dianna From GAIv'e been staying with my aunt on and off this last visit she mentioned little spots on her carpet...The light went on lol,and i tried cotton and rubbing alcohol hoping i remembered what you said to do!?And to our pleasure spots are gone! This method works wonders on microfiber uphulstered furniture.  I have been able to get ink stains out of my couch with it. And you know how if you spill a liquid on your microfiber it leaves that outlined spot? The Alcohol works beautifully on those as well. My couch is a darker beige color and it has not discolored.

I tried this, as I have tons of little dark spots on the carpet from our 3 yr old, and it worked!! I also tried it on an upholstered chair that has darkened a bit from wear and it worked on that too!!Great tip!! Thanks for sharing

At a recent party I was at, someone spilled red wine on a beige carpet. She quickly asked the hostess for salt and generously poured salt all over the spill. She said not to rub it in, and let it sit for a while before vacuuming. Within moments, the wine was being sopped up by the salt...it was amazing. I didn't see the final result b/c the salt was still on the carpet when I left, but she said that it always works with a red wine spill.

What a great idea! I've spilled fingernail polish on my carpet before and out of anxiety and simply not thinking I ran and got my fingernail polish remover and used it on the spill and I couldn't believe it didn't stain my carpet! It actually took the fingernail polish out!!!

Alcohol does work great, but I have something better. Huggies baby wipes remove anything from carpet, clothes, they remove spots even from my counter tops in the kitchen. It is strange but they remove raspberry/ strawberry stains from my carpet. Even crayons that were on my carpet were removed also. I wonder what they use in these baby wipes???

Actually, my husband, a retired floor covering installer, says oxyclean....soak the stain the DAB with clean cloths til stains gone...doesnt hurt the carpet or the backing underneath that holds your carpet together...hope this helps!!

I just learned that to remove (accidential) pet stain, first shampoo with HOT water and then sprinkle baking soda on the spot. allow to dry and then in the morning use hot water and hydrogen proxide and shampoo clean. This really worked after I had used several on the market products;

I have been using the little trick for years...it really works well!  I also use it on my sofa and other upolsterery.  Alcohol on cotton also removes ink from fabric if used prior to washing in the laundry.  :)

also, if you find yourself with a spot on your shirt........just use handsanitizer until you can get it washed. works wonderfully. (must be the alcohol)
